Thomas grew up near Seattle, Washington in a number of towns amid a lot of rain. The rain kept him inside reading much of the time. Raised on a steady diet of Stephen King, Peter Straub and Clive Barker, he was destined to find wonder in the darkness. Though his appreciation for all forms of literature has grown over the years, he is always drawn back to the marvelous dark.
In addition to his Northwest roots, Thomas has lived in Los Angeles, Denver, New Orleans and New York City. He currently resides in Austin, Texas, where he’s working on a number of novels, including Mason, forthcoming from HarperCollins in Summer 2008.
Writing as Lee Thomas he is the Bram Stoker Award-winning author of Stained, Parish Damned and The Dust of Wonderland.
